Updated · 6 min read · Figures from Delhi’s Open Transit Data, imported 18 July 2026

A general DTC monthly pass for all routes costs ₹800 for non-AC buses and ₹1,000 including AC buses. Students pay ₹100 for a pass between home and their institute, and senior citizens over 60 pay ₹50 (non-AC) or ₹150 (AC). Passes work on DTC and cluster buses alike.

DTC bus pass price list

Prices as listed by DTC for monthly passes. They are set by the Delhi government and can change, so check dtc.delhi.gov.in before you pay.

  • General All Route pass: ₹800 a month for non-AC buses, ₹1,000 a month for AC and non-AC buses.
  • Student pass: ₹100 for a destination pass between home and school or college, and ₹150 for an all-route student pass (non-AC). Ask at the pass section for the current AC student rate.
  • Senior citizen pass (60 and over): an all-route pass priced at ₹250 non-AC and ₹350 AC, of which the Delhi government pays ₹200. The rider pays ₹50 (non-AC) or ₹150 (AC).
  • Delhi–NCR–Airport pass: ₹1,800 a month, for riders who use the airport and cross-border routes.
  • Identity card: a one-time charge of about ₹15 for the photo ID that goes with the pass.

Is a monthly pass worth it?

Most single tickets cost ₹5 to ₹15 on a non-AC bus and ₹10 to ₹25 on an AC bus. Two ₹15 rides a day for 26 working days comes to ₹780, so a ₹800 general pass pays for itself if you commute daily across the city, and anything extra in the evenings or at weekends is free. For a few short trips a week, single tickets are cheaper. Look up the fare of your own route on its route page.

How to apply for a DTC bus pass online

  1. Open the official pass portal, dtcpass.delhi.gov.in, and choose to apply for a new pass.
  2. Pick the pass category (general, student, senior citizen and so on) and the AC or non-AC option.
  3. Fill in your details and upload a recent photo and the documents for your category.
  4. Pay online and keep the receipt. Depending on the category, the pass is issued online or collected from a DTC pass section.

DTC also issues passes at its pass sections in depots and at major terminals, where the paper form costs ₹1. DTC says the documents needed vary by category, so check its Get a DTC Pass page first.
