Why we built BusPe
Every single day, over 40 million citizens across Indian cities step out of their homes relying on public buses. Yet, they face unpredictable bunching, unannounced route curtailments, and confusing terminal transfers. Private rideshare apps charge exorbitant surge pricing, making everyday commuting financially unsustainable.
BusPe was born from a fundamental belief: public transit is an equalizer of urban opportunity. When a commuter knows the exact bus arriving in 4 minutes, whether it is air-conditioned, and where to catch their metro transfer, public transit becomes faster, greener, and overwhelmingly superior to private vehicles.
We ingest millions of live GPS coordinates every 10 seconds from government open data portals (OTD Delhi, Maha-Transit, BMTC) and run them through Kalman-filter algorithms to compute arrival times accurate to 60 seconds.
BusPe never tracks your travel patterns, sells location logs, or requires cumbersome phone sign-ups. Your trip planning happens entirely in your local browser session or device sandbox under the Indian DPDP Act 2023.

BusPe is an independent open transit application built by civic-minded engineers. We are not affiliated with, operated by, or endorsed by the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC), Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System (DIMTS), Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST), Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), or any state government ministry.
All route numbers, schedules, stops, and geographic GTFS polygons are derived from official municipal Open Transit Data APIs under open government data licenses.
